Although The Woolpack has been part of the local landscape for far longer, our Business Owner Darren has proudly run the establishment for the past 12 years. A chef by trade with over 30 years’ experience in hospitality, Darren brings a wealth of knowledge, passion, and dedication to everything he does.

He was joined in 2019 by his wife Shannon, and together they share a combined 47 years of experience in the industry. Their shared passion is simple—to make The Woolpack a true home away from home, where every guest feels welcomed, relaxed, and well cared for.

Great Location & Easy Access

Situated just off Junction 12 of the A14, The Woolpack enjoys excellent access from Kettering, Oundle, Peterborough, and the surrounding areas. We’re also close to popular local attractions including Rushden Lakes Retail Park, Santa Pod Raceway, Silverstone Circuit, and Stanwick Lakes.

Dining, Drinking & Alfresco Spaces

We offer a variety of spaces designed to suit every occasion. Our upstairs restaurant seats approximately 100 guests and features its own service bar, offering a wide selection of hot, soft, and alcoholic drinks.

To the side, you’ll find a secluded outdoor seating area with comfortable rattan furniture—perfect for relaxed alfresco dining.

Downstairs, our main bar features a welcoming log burner, creating a cosy atmosphere during the colder months. This space also serves both our function room, The Stables, and our spacious front patio, which enjoys sunshine throughout the day and is ideal for relaxed drinks and dining.

The Stables – Private Function Room

Located downstairs, The Stables is our versatile function space, perfect for a range of occasions—from intimate wedding receptions to private dining and celebrations.

It comfortably seats up to 26 guests for a formal meal, or up to 50 for more informal events, making it a flexible and welcoming space for any gathering.

Accommodation

To complete your visit, we also offer ten en-suite rooms located in a separate building to the rear of the pub, set around a communal grassed area.

Thoughtfully refurbished in 2022 and carefully maintained to a high standard by our dedicated housekeeping team, our accommodation offers a comfortable and relaxing stay for both leisure and business guests.
